Tafa, This concept is originated from Arabic language which means the ‘Float’. The chair is designed to install a sense of fascination and ambiguity as users take a closer look at what seems to be a continuous strand of bent solid oak. The chair’s main focal point is its “floating” seat pan. In order to achieve such a cantilever, the frame’s joints have been carefully designed, manufactured and tested to handle repeated use. Ergonomics and comfort are some of the main driving forces directing the form. The decision to design a lounge chair was intentional in order to carry its laid back concept through to its use.
